Butternut squash is an excellent and simple vegetable to prepare, particularly during the holiday season.
ingredients:
- 1 Large Butternut Squash
- Olive Oil
- Salt
- Pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Using a large knife, carefully slice the butternut squash in half lengthwise, resulting in two equal halves.
- Scoop out the seeds and discard them.
- Generously drizzle olive oil over the squash and season with salt and pepper.
- Arrange the halves on a baking sheet, cut side down.
- Roast in the oven for 45 minutes, or until the squash is tender enough to be easily pierced with a knife.
- Serve as a complement to your main course.
